Should a Ghostwriting Service Be Competent in SEO?

Unfortunately, many web masters go in search of a ghostwriting service, never considering whether the company they hire has a strong understanding of SEO. Think about this for a minute. If the writer you hire is not competent in this area, how is the content they write for you going to benefit your business?

In order for a ghostwriter to provide you with top quality content that will draw targeted visitors and the search engines, they should have a pretty good concept of the workings of SEO. Once they understand how certain words are the basis that everything else hinges on, it all starts to make sense.

From the moment a person keys in what they are searching for to the second they find that information, it all evolves around keywords. True, backlinks count for high rankings, but the anchor text in those links are again - keywords.

A good ghostwriting service should be able to provide you with web page content, articles, blog posts, press releases and any other writing you need, but it should also be well written. This effort is two-fold; first, you want the information to be of value and interest to the reader. Then, it should be optimized well with your chosen key terms and phrases, but this should all flow in a natural way. Nothing is worse than for someone to arrive at your site to find content that doesn't make sense! It makes your website and YOU look unprofessional.

While you may leave all of the strategies and methods used to rank your website high to the search engine optimization firms and experts, you need expertise where it really counts - in your content. By choosing a ghostwriting service that is also proficient in SEO strategies, you can be sure that you get just what you need. Great content, and attention from humans as well as search engines! What does this mean for you? A successful, profitable online business.

Simple SEO Tips - Make Sure Your Site Gets Seen!

Many people feel that SEO or search engine optimization is like rocket science, or something beyond their learning capability. While the experts may be able to get you ranked quickly, there are many things you can do on your own to make sure that visitors and search engines alike find your website. This article will give you some great SEO tips, so you can start a successful business even if you don't have the money to pay the experts!

If you think out the process, it's really simple. When people search online for information, products or services, they use keywords. That is the magic word - 'keywords.' Learn what those are and how to use them, and you will never have problems being visible online again. That is the "key" (no pun intended) to the mystery.

Here are a few simple SEO tips to try out yourself:

1. Make sure you do your research. To be the most successful, you should take a general niche that you are interested in and fine tune your efforts on a smaller, well-defined niche within that niche.

2. Make certain that the keywords and phrases you choose are buying keywords. Also, be certain to find out how many times per day people search for those terms, and how stiff the competition is.

3. Use your keywords in the title of your site, in the meta description, and throughout your pages. Don't overdo it; spammy looking content isn't tolerated by the search engines, and your visitors will think your content seems a little strange as well. A keyword density of about 1 1/2 to 2% is good.

4. Send traffic to your site, and build page rank at the same time! Write many quality articles, making sure to link to your site using anchor text. In other words, use your keywords and variations in the clickable link that leads to your site.

5. Blog on a regular basis, linking from your posts to your sales page or website. Also, comment on related blogs and use anchor text frequently in your comments as well. Give useful comments, and don't spam the blog with things like "Great post!"

Put these strategies into action, and you will see that not only do your targeted visitors increase significantly, but over time your page rank will improve as well.

I hope you have enjoyed these simple SEO tips, and that they help get YOUR site seen!

A Business Ghostwriter Saves You Time & Benefits SEO of Your Site

When you hire a business ghostwriter, usually it's because you want to save yourself the time and work of writing content yourself. Whether you need articles, on site content, blog posts or special reports, you would rather outsource the work.

Do you realize that an exceptional ghostwriter can also write with the search engines in mind? A good business ghostwriter knows how to optimize your content with effective keywords and phrases that help get your content ranked highly with the search engines. This is particularly important when it comes to your website. The search engine 'crawlers' need to know what your site is about in order to rank it, and the better it is optimized the higher it will rank - meaning you get more traffic.

So, while you are saving yourself some time and effort by outsourcing your writing needs, why not improve your visibility as well? Hire an experienced and professional ghostwriter, and you will see a significant boost in targeted traffic! Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

What Exactly IS a Ghostwriter?

Many people have heard of ghostwriters, but don't really know exactly how it works. When you hire a ghostwriter, you are hiring someone to write totally unique content that will be yours to use in any fashion you like, as if you wrote it yourself.

A very large percentage of online marketers and business owners on the web use ghostwriting services to write their content for them. This content may include articles to drive traffic and build one way links to websites, or may include blog posts and actual on-site content to help optimize for key terms and phrases. Many ghostwriters also write special reports for website owners to give away in exchange for names and email addresses, and press releases. Actually, any content you need for your business can be written by a professional ghostwriter, and no one will ever know that you didn't write it yourself.

What kinds of rates do ghostwriters charge? They vary widely. I have seen sites that actually charge $100 and up for a 500 word article. In my opinion, this is way over the top but I'm sure some people do pay that much! On the other end of the spectrum, I have seen people who charge $2 or $3, but this blows my mind. In my opinion, my time and effort to research the topic and write a compelling article is worth more than 2 bucks. On average, you can find many ghostwriters that provide you with a good quality 400-500 word article for about $10 to $20.

Online Marketing Web Page Copywriting

Sounds like a mouthful, doesn't it? If you have an online business, you must implement various online marketing strategies to insure that your website gets noticed, both by your visitors and the search engines. Online marketing web page copywriting simply means that you want someone to write your website pages in a way that is compelling to your visitors, and interests them enough for them to consider purchasing your product or service. At the same time, you want your pages optimized for the search engines so that they take notice of your site.

In order for the visitors that come to your site to stay, you must capture their interest from the very first second! If you don't know this, you have about 3 to 5 seconds to grab their attention or they are gone forever, most likely never to return. You have to identify with their problem or pain, and assure them from the get go that you have the solution, and what the benefits are.

If you are not a writer but need exceptional content for your site, you can either learn how to do it yourself or hire a professional. Learn more about online marketing web page copywriting, and see how affordable our rates are! We will transform your business from fizzle to sizzle, and the words we use are simply MAGIC.

Do Ghostwriters Know How to Perform SEO?

Ghostwriters have varying amounts of knowledge. While some only write articles to help drive traffic and build page rank, others know more about on-page optimization for your site, meta tags, building manual backlinks and other tasks that usually fall to search engine optimization firms.

When you choose ghostwriting services that have a vast amount of knowledge and experience behind them, they can be a very valuable asset to your online business. Many write not only articles, but web page content that is optimized well for your key terms and phrases. They may also write press releases, special reports and other content. Some even help you with your keyword research!

If you decide to hire a ghostwriter to help increase targeted traffic and page ranking, look at the information on their site to see just how much they do know. Also notice if their are client testimonials, and what kinds of rates they charge. You will find that ghostwriters prices range anywhere from "too cheap" (you get what you pay for) to exorbitant. Many charge $95 per article and more, which absolutely DOES NOT mean that the quality is any better than that of a ghostwriter who charges $12 or $14 for an article. Do your homework!

What Hiring a Ghostwriter Can Do for A Business

Some ghostwriter just write using no particular method. An experienced ghostwriter who writes for online business knows how to optimize the content for keywords as well as search engines. So what does this mean?

Keywords are the words people use when they search for information online. Words like "how to lose 10 pounds" or "train my dog to sit". These are keywords. When a ghostwriter writes articles and web content for an online business, they strive to write using these keywords correctly, so that the content can easily be found by the search engines. This helps increase traffic to the business, and increase page rank of the website or blog if submitted to the right sources.

When you hire a ghostwriter, make sure they understand how search engines work, and how to write to effectively optimize keywords!

Ghostwriting Connects You with All Kinds of People

When you are a ghostwriter, you meet all types of people through email communication. I have met a gift basket shop owner from Georgia, a search engine optimization expert from Arizona, and a literary author who lives in the United Kingdom, to name a few.

Dealing with your clients can be as enjoyable as the ghostwriting itself, especially when you work with them over a long period of time. You come to feel as if you know them. I can't think of a line of work I would enjoy more! Offering ghostwriting services is a great way to earn an income from your home, as well as meet interesting people from all over the world.

Ghostwriting is Educational!

I have to tell you, since I began my ghostwriting services I have gained alot of knowledge! Topics that I never really knew much about before are now old hat. Before, I really had no knowledge about legal issues at all. Now, I know all about personal injury law and pre-settlement funding!

I find my business very interesting - and educational. By doing the research necessary to write good content, I learn more than I ever learned in school (of course I was more interested in fun back then). Still, I believe the best reward in the ghostwriting business is having satisfied clients who love my work.

When I began my ghostwriting services business, I didn't really realize that what I was doing would affect people in such a positive way. By providing my clients with excellent content, I am helping boost their business by helping them rank better with search engines. It is truly a great feeling to make your living by helping other people.

Well, that's my thoughts for the day! I truly love my job.

Article Writing for Clients and the Satisfaction of a Job Well Done

The main area of my business is article writing, and I wouldn't trade it for anything! What is so great about having your own ghostwriting services? The fact that if you truly love your business, you have such a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.

Many people online are in it just to make big money. By offering your own ghostwriting services, you can make very good money AND feel that you have helped your client at the same time, by providing them good content for their sites or article campaigns.

It's just nice to provide a service, and feel that you are getting paid for something that is honestly legitimate, unlike many other things you will find online.

I like to feel that I have earned the money I make at the end of the day, and I work hard to make my clients happy. After all, that's my business!

Too Busy Writing to Write?

That's the wonderful thing about ghostwriting - you have so much to do, you don't have time to work on your own writing! Look how long it has been since I posted to this blog.

I started my own writing services because I thought while I'm writing so many articles of my own every day, I might as well make a business of it. Well, little did I know that I would barely have time to promote my other businesses. It's really for the best, though. I think writing is my calling, I just don't know why the good Lord waited until I was nearly old enough to draw social security to reveal this to me (just kidding).

I am doing what I love, and that is what matters.

Ghostwriting for $2? You've Got to be Kidding!

I read on forums quite often where people get so called "good quality" articles ghostwritten for $2 or $3. Have these people lost their minds?

Ghostwriting isn't a simple process that a 3 year old could handle. In fact, some topics take a good deal of research to write about, if you are unfamiliar with the topic. If I take a topic that I really don't know much about, it can take 30 minutes or more to research enough that I can write an exceptional quality article.

Add to that the keyword optimization, writing compelling content and putting the files together, and I think you will agree that $2 is a slap in the face. Who would write for that amount of money? Not a professional who is proud of their work, I would say.

Being a ghostwriter is a profession, and professionals don't usually work for peanuts. Just my opinion!

Article Re-writing - Should the Rates be Higher?

When it comes to ghostwriting, I find that rewriting a piece is more time consuming than writing an article from scratch. Many ghostwriters don't do this at all, and some that do charge a reduced rate. I think it is actually MORE work!

Rewriting takes more time for me. Rearranging other peoples words and trying to come up with different words and phrases to take the place of the ones there is sometimes frustrating. I would much rather write a totally new article from scratch!

Just my opinion. Others may love taking old content and making something new out of it, but I would rather start with a clean slate. My imagination works better when I have a blank page! Oh, the joys of ghostwriting - gotta love it.

Lions & Tigers & Bears - Oh my!

When it comes to ghostwriting, you never know what the day is going to bring. I will never forget my very first project - 35 skin care articles. This was a piece of cake for me, because it was a subject I was knowledgeable about. This one was a bear; soft and cuddly.

As my writing services took off, I began getting clients with all sorts of topics that I knew absolutely nothing about! Wealth management, exotic dancing . . . the list goes on and on. These were a little scary, because I was still new to this gig. These were the lions:)

I haven't met up with any tigers yet, because I am getting much more experienced in my work - and more confident. There isn't a topic I can't write about! When you gain confidence in your abilities, you can do anything.

The scariest thing that I would have to write about? Politics. This is a subject that I'm not real comfortable with. Could I do it if I had to? Of course! This is what confidence is all about - believing in yourself.

Do I love being a ghostwriter, and writing articles all day long? YES, YES, YES! It is my passion. I hope you enjoy your work as much as I do.

What a Variety of Topics! Ghostwriting is extreme fun

Today I got started with a new client. This lady is the owner of a real estate company, and is she a hoot! Anyway, she had me write my first article for her company, and she is hooked. Sent me another set of keywords right away.

Writing on the real estate market is fun. Not only did I learn alot about the city she lives in, but about the market in general. Ghostwriting will allow you to really expand your knowledge on topics you never dreamed you would know anything at all about.

Spyware, gold bullion, exotic dancing, brand marketing, wealth management, real estate, skin care products, hmmm. . . I wonder what's next?

Oh, the wonderful world of ghostwriting articles. Got to love it!

Article Ghostwriting - My first weekend in February

I received an email from a new client on Friday evening, wanting 10 articles expedited by Sunday evening if possible. Of course, I agreed to do the project. When you are just starting out, you will accept just about anything.

These articles ranged in topics from personal injury lawsuits to iPod car adapters. Talk about a learning experience! When you are an article ghostwriter, you write about subjects you sometimes have never even heard of - but it's fun.

I enjoy the challenge of taking a topic I am really unfamiliar with and creating good content for my client. Not only do I learn alot, I get to help others with good content for their business. On the internet, you have to have interesting and compelling information, or people will quickly hit the "back" button and go on to the next site.

Anyway, for any of you would-be ghostwriters out there, you should give it a try. It's fun, you meet lots of neat people, and you learn more than you ever wanted to know:)

Oh, I almost forgot the ending to this story. I got the ten articles done at 3 pm (central time) on Sunday, sent them over to my new client and he was ecstatic! Don't you love happy endings?

Article Writing - How Many Ghostwriters Begin

How did I get started in the ghostwriting business? Quite by accident, really. I was (and still am) an affiliate marketer, meaning I sell other merchants products online. In promoting these products, I wrote many articles.

I logged in one day to submit another article, and realized that I had written over 600 articles! The thought instantly occured to me, "Why not become a ghostwriter?" I love writing about different topics, and must say I'm pretty darn good.

Article writing is now my first priority, although I do write reports and ebooks as well. If the subject is familiar to me, it takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to whip up an excellent quality article. Of course if I have to research the topic it takes longer - but look how much I learn!

Every ghostwriter should write articles, no doubt about it.

You Never Know What the Topic Will Be!

When I first began as a ghostwriter, I was a bit surprised at the variety of topics people wanted content for. People usually think of the normal things - marketing, health, weight loss, things like that.

Some of the topics I have written about nearly blew my mind, but I proceeded on and did fine. Here are some of the first topics I had to write about:

Gold Bars and Bullion
Spyware
Exotic Dancing

Quite a suprise, isn't it? At least I didn't have to write about klingons my first time out. I have written on a few normal topics as well. Brand marketing, skin care, affiliate marketing and health remedies are some of the things I really love to write about. As a ghostwriter, you really have to learn how to research and write on nearly any topic imaginable.

When you are a ghostwriter, you never know what's just around the corner!

Ghostwriting - My first project

I will never forget the day I finally got the nerve to promote my services. When you market affiliate products, you can really maintain a low profile. You don't necessarily have to "put yourself out there" so others can see what you are all about.

On the first day after I had decided I would become a ghostwriter, I decided to put an ad on Craigslist. I set up an account, did the phone verification, and placed an ad. As I clicked on the "publish my ad" button, I nearly fainted.

I thought to myself, what will I do if someone responds to my ad? It's a very different feeling when you are paid to write for someone else than when you are writing for yourself. I sucked it in, and told myself I would be fine. And I was.

The very next day, I had my first client! This client wanted 10 articles about a topic I was somewhat familiar with. What luck, that I didn't start right off with a subject like klingons or something. Anyway, that client was very happy and gave me more work. In fact, I still write for him.

I have since written about many topics, and it gets easier with each one. Ghostwriting really isn't that difficult, and it is very rewarding producing content that will help someone else's business.

Stay tuned for more!

I'm Glad You are Here!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Tess Tackett, and I am a professional ghost writer (or ghostwriter) depending on how you like to spell it. I love writing, so this is the perfect way for me to work at home and make a living.

I began this career a few months ago, almost as an afterthought. As an affiliate marketer, I was writing many articles. After completing over 600, I thought to myself "why not become a ghostwriter, too"? I mean I really enjoy writing, and learning about various topics. I believe in order to be good at this type of career, you really have to enjoy what you do.

Anyway, welcome and I hope you follow my adventures as I make my way through the world wide web!
